RECREATIONAL DIVISION (AGES 12+) and ADULT OPEN CLASSES

Dancers who desire to begin or continue training, but would only like to take one or two classes per week are invited to enroll in our Recreational Division. Ballet training enhances several athletic endeavors including gymnastics, skating, and other dance forms.

BEGINNING TO Intermediate

A great class for beginning adults and teens. Class focuses on proper extension of the legs, turnout and shape of the feet, developing movement sequences, port de bras, flexibility and balance. Dancers will see an increase in difficulty in barre and center work and are able to properly perform steps such as pas de chats, changement, jeté, glissade, assemblé and pirouette-balances in center. Dancers may choose to train in pre-pointe or pointe shoes (not required).

intermediate to ADVANCED

For teens and adults with several years of ballet training. Technique and proper alignment must be solid, as steps increase in difficulty and combinations grow in length and complexity. Adagio, multiple pirouettes, grand allegro (leaps) and petite allegro increase in difficulty. Dancers may choose to train in pointe shoes at the barre and center.
